Best Korean in the city! Great service! If the soldiers are there, you know it's authentic

Absolutely amazing food and very kind owners. We really enjoyed and will go back. Kind of a hole in the wall place, well worth it.

Good, authentic, Korean fare served in a humble strip mall restaurant. The waitress (who may also be the owner, not sure) is kind and prompt and the menu contains most Korean favorites Americans would expect and be familiar with, so whatever you've come for you'll likely find. Space is a bit cramped, however, so think twice if picking this for a romantic dinner because the atmosphere is much more lunch café-style and you'll be in arm's length of the folks seated at the next table over. That said, the food really measures up: I had japchae which was very good and came with an incredible selection of banchan, like way more than many Korean restaurants will provide. All were good though the kkakdugi was a bit fishy and briny, not my favorite, but all others were very good. I make kkakdugi myself at home so I guess I may be a bit picky, but if they make all these mitbanchan in house--just wow--that's a tremendous amount of work. Not surprising however given how dedicated they seem to be to their customers and having excellent food to serve. They also bring out scissors if you get japchae or ribs to cut them, something commonplace in Korea but less so even in Korean restaurants in the USA--I last saw this done at a Korean place in Montgomery, Alabama near a factory owned by Koreans; it's a nice touch and one that often suggests the authenticity of the restaurant. Gang Nam is not to be missed if seeking Korean cuisine in Columbia.

We loved it here!!!!! The food was delicious. It reminded me of when I was living in Korea. Everything was fresh and served hot. The customer service was quick. Prices were reasonable. We just moved close by so we will definitely be visiting often. Can't wait to come back!

I just realized that there was a Korean restaurant on my side of town. I went in to try it out, and I am loving it! The spicy pork is tender and very well seasoned. The side dishes were delicious and well proportioned. I am definitely going back to try some of the other dishes, such as the beef bulgogi.

Excellent food and service. Among the best Korean restaurants in Columbia. Our party ordered the Spicy Pork Bulgogi, Beef Bulgogi, Bibimbop and several appetizers including Kimchi Pajeon, Mandu and Tteokbokki. All were excellent as were the various Banchan. We were very impressed with the quality of the food and the speed of the service. The owner, a Korean lady, was very friendly and kind. With the demise of O'Bok and the rumored upcoming sale of Hero, Gangnam is a great addition to Columbia's stable of Korean restaurants. We will be returning soon!

Let me tell you about this woman who runs this place. She knows and takes care of her patrons/customers. Great service, ambiance was nothing to look at but who cares the food was great. Definitely, coming back again.

A good place to go and grab a quick lunch. Food takes about 10 minutes to be ready. I have been here twice now and have ordered the same dish both times. I had the bulgogi. Portions are a bit small. Not enough portions of the side dishes, but the flavors are there. The one staff I have interacted with is pleasant. It is a small place, bit much ambiance, but I will take great food over ambiance any day.
